# claims and refunds

HyperPot uses claimable balances.

Winners and refunded players must claim manually from the app.

## Why Claiming Exists

The contract does not push winnings directly to users during settlement.

Instead, it credits:

```solidity
claimableWinnings[user] += amount;
```

Then the user calls:

```solidity
claim()
```

This pattern is safer because settlement does not depend on the winner accepting an immediate transfer.

## How To Claim

1. Connect your wallet.
2. Open the wallet dropdown in the top-right.
3. Check `Claimable Amount`.
4. Click `Claim`.
5. Confirm the transaction.

## Winner Claims

If you win a round, the app should show a success notification.

Your prize becomes claimable in the wallet dropdown.

## Solo Refunds

If you are the only unique player in a round and the timer expires, the round is cancelled.

Your full deposit is credited as claimable HYPE.

The app displays a refund notification when it detects the cancelled round.

## Cancelled Stuck Draw Refunds

If a draw is requested but Pyth Entropy does not fulfill within the timeout, the round can be marked as stuck and cancelled.

Depositors can then claim refunds for that cancelled round.

## Nothing To Claim

If your claimable amount is zero and you click `Claim`, the UI will show that there is nothing to claim.

No claim transaction is needed.
